Manufacturing Resources
Materials
Laser-chemical machining is compatible with almost all optical glasses. We keep a select number of glass types in stock for rapid prototyping and delivery. Coatings can be applied to all glass materials. Chalcogenides and polymers are not being coated at this time.
Capabilities
Momentum can process optics in the "goldilocks zone" where optics are too big for semiconductor processing and too small for CNC polishing or diamond turning. The edge diameter can range from 2mm to 20mm. The clear aperture (CA) can range from 0.5 to 20mm. A CA of nearly 99% is possible for most optics. Check out our capabilities here.
Protecting IP
Momentum uses best practices to maintain the confidentiality and security of your files. We only use your files in the quoting process to generate manufacturing specifications. We do not store your files following specification generation. For more information see FAQs.
